Black hole theory
In this blog, we will be going to discuss how are black holes formed and a little bit of theory behind this and our galaxy.
yeah, I have been into research since a week on this phenomena and finally, after covering a decent concept and facts behind this I think would be able to explain this to my readers in the simplest form of words. First, let us understand how this Quantum phenomenon actually takes place.
On the very first thing we need to understand the laws of nature behind this and we all pretty much know that we can study the laws of nature by studying the laws of physics which were mostly given by Isaac Newton so it means that we can simply study his laws to understand the phenomena and expand our knowledge but No ! its not true in this case the Newtonian physics or classical physics cannot be applied and I hope that at some point we have heard the modern name of physics which truly alters the way of our thinking known as quantum physics or Einstein physics and is used to study this type of phenomena. The main difference between quantum physics and classical physics is of ramp and staircase if we try to imagine.
Difference between classical and quantum physics:
In classical physics, the events are supposed to be continuous and there is no discontinuity just like a smooth ramp going from one level to another for e.g the motion of a projectile which is a predicted motion and everything goes in a smooth predicted way while in quantum physics the events are not that smooth, the events like the transition of an electron from one energy level to another, there is some discontinuation which is why we have to use quantum physics to study the phenomena like black hole formation as they cannot be predicted as a smooth event further the Newtonian physics is based on the supposition that any particle moves in three dimensions in any space with absolute time and it tends to acquire a curved path due to force of gravity while Einstein conceived a 4D dimension in which time is not absolute but a variable parameter so the particle tends to acquire a curved path not because of the force of gravity but due to the shortest distance in space-time. If we consider our galaxy in outer space there is no force of gravity but still, some events acquire a curved path which makes Einstein physics applicable and concludes that Newtonian physics can be used for objects that are visible to our sights and Einstein physics can be used for objects moving in a space where the force of gravity is absent.
Einstein and his general relativity:
The theory given by Einstein of general relativity is one of the remarkable achievement in the 20th century which totally alter the way of our thinking however it's a basic concept not include that much of rocket science. We all know that our earth is pulled by the gravitational forces towards the sun but according to Einstien and his theory, the sun is pulling the earth because it is simply the shape or the path of the space-time region forcing it to move in that direction and not because of gravitational force which indicates that there is no force of gravitation for celestial bodies and indicates how these are linked to each other which is known as general relativity of them. Now let's move to the basic concept of relativity what is relativity? relativity tells us how the objects related to each other in the space-time region it is our common thought or belief that all the bodies obey the same laws of physics everywhere, why the person travelling in a rocket complete less time as compared to the person sitting on the earth because as the person moves with greater speed the time tends to slow down for him and if someone moves with the speed of light (which is impossible) the time will be completely stopped for him we can also observe this factor on a small scale let us consider two friends travelling on different vehicles, the one is moving in super fast bullet train and the other in an old vintage car now both throw the ball at the same time and record the time the balls take to return on their hands suppose that there is absolutely no external agent which can influence the time of the return of the ball but still the time record by both will be different the ball of the person travelling in super fast bullet train cover less time as compared to the person travelling in an old vintage car because of the same reason as time tends to slow for fast objects although there is a minor difference but still there is. Hope this quote by Einstein further expands your thinking concept.
" Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love. How on earth can you explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? put your hand on a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. sit with that special girl for an hour and it seems like a minute. That's relativity."
What is Blackhole?
so after having the basic difference between Newtonian and Einstein physics and a basic idea of relativity we are able to understand that which type of laws are applicable to this phenomena. A black hole is a region formed in spacetime (as discussed above what is space-time) which is so dense that nothing can escape its strong gravitational field even a light or any electromagnetic radiation. There are some predictions that its mass is so compacted that deform the space-time dimension results in the formation of a black hole. The boundary of the region is known as event horizon from which nothing can escape.
Explanation :
In simple words, we can say that black hole is basically a compacted dense region in space-time graph that it can soak any particle or any radiation and it continues to become large by absorbing things.
Now the question arises that How Black Holes are formed? they formed whenever any massive mass of star or planet collapse at the end of its life cycle or in other words we could say that when any star or planet runs out of nuclear fuel the star then explodes to Supernova. So this was the basic explanation behind this phenomena.
For better visualization of the black hole, I have attached a video.
The above animation by the artist shows the black hole with a mass of two billion times that of sun, which is the most distant yet find and it was seen just 770 million years after the Big Bang.
