How to choose proper running shoes?

How to choose a shoe that would work on your stride

Choosing proper running shoes is one of the main goals of an athlete or a runner, as your whole journey of running is dependent on that and choice of the improper shoe could lead you to an injury so this is very important that you select a proper running which can be of any brands like New Balance, Nike or Adidas however my personal preferences are New Balance and Nike. Now let us discuss how you can select a shoe which proved to be the right choice for you

1. Identify your foot impact:

One of the very first steps for you is to identify your foot impact which determines the way you apply pressure on your foot. You can check this with one of the easiest methods so here we go first of all just take a light tissue paper and place it on the floor such that it may easily cover your single footstep, now moisten your right foot with water and make a print on that tissue paper in the way you normally position your step while walking now look in this chart to identify your arch type.

These foot impacts determine the way you apply pressure on your foot while running or walking so it is important that you choose your shoe according to it.

2. Choosing your shoes according to your type:

Now you have already identified the arch-type of your foot, you can easily choose which type of shoe you can wear to run without the concerned of any hard injury in your legs so let us discuss some of the basic types of shoes. So on the very first, we have the Motion control shoe these types of shoes have high heel rigid counter to control the motion of the heel and lower forefoot density as shown in the image below. They have a high rigid density of sole to control feet and they are hard to bend or twist from the middle as they have high-density soul so it can be said to be perfect for those who have a flat foot type and heavy runners who tend to overpronate

On the second we have Stability shoes, these type of shoes are suitable for those who have normal arch for mild control and they can generally get a twist and bend from the middle so you can easily identify them. These type of shoes provide rear foot stability and forefoot flexibility to roll inward and typically they offer a very little bit of cushioning to your feet. On the third type, we have Neutral shoe as its name suggested this type of shoe mainly tends to serve as a neutral device they provide greater cushioning and doesn't have any kind of motion control techniques as compared to other types. They have a semi-curved or curved design to provide proper support for those who have a high arch and they can easily get bend or twist from the middle if get twisted.

I hope that this blog helps you to decide your own running shoe according to your arch type so next time when you decide to buy a new shoe don't forget to check this blog.
